The Music and Entertainment Program
flourishes through the L.A.
Inner City Mass Choir. The L.A. Inner City Mass Choir has been sharing the
message of hope, courage and triumph through music to audiences all
across Southern California. The choir has been privileged to awe
celebrities including Grammy Recording Artist Celine Dion and Gospel Recording Artist Yolanda Adams.
They have also recorded with Grammy Award Winners R&B Singer
Patti La Belle “The Gospel According to Patti La Belle” and with Stevie Wonder
“A Time to Love.”
The La Inner City mass Chior has been the guardian angel, and the safe haven for over 30 years to many youth and adults. Jeffrey Coprich Sr. started the choir in watts California, to keep the youth out of the gang infested streets. Jeffrey Sr. essentially gave the youth something to look forward to when there was nothing positive taken place in their life. Who doesn’t love music? Music is the universal language across the world. Jeffrey Sr. decided to focus on gospel music to remind the youth to give all their worries to the man above.
It is important to mention, majority youth come from poverty and with poverty, comes lack of opportunity. Opportunity brings life experience. When there is none, we see the negative impact it has on the youth. many resort to a lifestyle of survival. We see many turn to the streets to seek the guidance they are missing from their homes. La Inner City mass choir brings guidance, mother and father hood, and most importantly, love all in one.
